The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) rose 1.27 percent at day-end, the best evolution being seen at the SIF sector which jumped 2.7 percent, as it followed the positive evolution of the external markets in the past days.
Transactions totaled 18.11 million lei, 26 percent up from the previous session.
The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on the market added 1.29 percent to 4,903.98 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies soared 1.27 percent to 2,816.66, NewsIn states.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies SIF hiked 2.70 percent to 24,340.08 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna grew 1.50 percent to 10,176.40.
The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies advanced 1.68 percent to 480.19 and the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market stepped up 1.28 percent to 612.58.
Shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) were the most traded on the market and won 2.36 percent to 1.30 lei and those of SIF Moldova (SIF2) swelled 2.68 percent to 1.15 lei.
On the banking sector, BRD SocGen (BRD) gained 1.48 percent to 13.70 lei and Banca Transilvania (TLV) inched 0.88 percent to 2.28 lei.
Oil refinery Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC) dropped 0.76 percent to 0.065 lei, while Romania's top oil company Petrom (SNP) climbed 2.75 percent to 0.262 lei.
