Romania's national currencyfell slightly in the early trades today and then idled near 4.29 against euro, on a market with few transactions, pending arrival of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) missions in Bucharest tomorrow, NewsIn informs.
The National Bank of Romania posted a benchmark exchange rate of 4.2897 lei per euro today, up from 4.2877 in the previous session.
The leu declined from 4.2895 to 4.2915 versus the euro at debut and then idled at 4.2905.
In the region, the Polish zloty traded between 4.1946 and 4.2052 per euro, while Hungary's forint swung from 268 to 269 per euro.
For the U.S. dollar, the official exchange rate increased 1.02 percent to 2.8803 lei per dollar, from 2.8513 in the previous session.
