The Boeing 737-800 will take off from Aurel Vlaicu Bucharest Baneasa airport at 13:30.

The test flight will be operated at the company’s own risk in line with the regulations, by Dan Stefanescu, flight director of Blue Air.

Restrictions in place at Otopeni, Baneasca, Craiova, Oradea, Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Sibiu, Cluj Napoca will be lifted starting 15:00 hours, Prime Minister Emil Boc said.

Airports in Targu Mures, Bacau, Iasi, Tulcea, Suceava, Constanta remain closed, with the possibility of going back into operations Tuesday morning.

Romanian airspace has been partially reopened Monday, together with the opening of Timisoara and Arad airports at 9:00, the first airports that can operate flights after almost 40 hours of restrictions.

Romanian airspace has been fully shut down starting Saturday, 18:00.
