US-based motorcycle maker Harley Davidson sold in Romania 13 Harley Davidson motorcycles and 3 Buell, grabbing 20% share of the 651-cc segment.
“In the first half we sold 13 Harley-Davidson and 3 Buell motorcycles. In a market that fell 75% in the first half year-on-year in the 651cc motorcycles segment, we had a good result”, Bogdan Bucurescu, managing director of Harley-Davidson & Buell Bucharest.
Harley-Davidson’s 651-cc motorcycles are the second best selling in its engine version in Romania.
This year, the company set up a buy-back system. “The service is available at Harley-Davidson showroom that enjoys a special audience”, said Bucurescu. “Our client’s preferences have not shifted to lower-priced models, due to financial crisis”, he continued.
In spring this year, the motorcycle maker has introduced its Iron 883 Sportster Dark Custom, available at 8,270 euros (VAT is not included).
