NBR revises forecast for year-end inflation at 4.3% from 4.4%

National Bank of Romania has revised its forecast inflation range for year-end, to 4.3% from 4.4%, reads the quarterly report on inflation, presented by the governor of central bank, Mugur Isarescu.

The National Bank of Romania also decided to keep inflation target range unchanged, at 3.5% with a tolerance band of plus/minus 1.

The annual inflation rate dropped in June to 5.86% from 5.95% in May, according to National Institute of Statistics.

Romania recorded in June the highest inflation in European Union, of 5.9% as the EU’s rate stood at 0.6%, according to Eurostat.
