Rompetrol Well Services, the well services division of Rompetrol, said its 2009 net profit fell 43% from a year earlier to 13.66 million lei, on 34% lower revenues.
In 2008, the company reported a net profit of 24.16 million lei.
Rompetrol Well Services’ revenues fell by a third in 2009, to 68.77 million lei (€16.22 million), from 104.86 million lei 2008.
The company has share capital of 27.82 million lei, divided into 278.19 million shares at a face value of 0.10 lei. The majority shareholder of Rompetrol Well Services is the Netherlands-based Rompetrol NV with 51% interest. For the time being, the majority shareholder is running a public takeover offering, due for completion in February 23.
Rompetrol Well Services has a market cap of 117.95 million lei (€28.7 million), according to yesterday’s closing quote of 0.4240lei/share.
