Raluca Chiciu, promoted to regional role at GE Money

GE Money, the retail personal finance division of General Electric Romania said it had appointed Raluca Chiciu, Head of Compliance and Internal Audit for Romania, in a similar position at a regional level. In Romania, GE Money has two new members in the management team as of June: Thomas Keehan, Business Transformation Leader and Radu Burghelea, Chief Information Officer (CIO).

The appointment of Raluca Chiciu (photo) as Regional Head of Compliance la GE Capital Global Banking & JVs for Western Europe will become effective as of October 1. In her new role, Raluca will oversee from the new office in Paris the compliance operations of financial companies within GE from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Netherlands.

Raluca has over 10-year experience in banking services. She joined GE Money in March 2007 as Head of Compliance, and later on she took on new internal audit duties. Prior to joining GE, Raluca Chiciu was Head of Compliance with ING Romania.

She graduated the Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest (International Business and Economics and Accounting and Financial Audit).She is also Authorized Internal Auditor and member of US Internal Auditors Institute.

Thomas Keehan is American citizen has a 16-year experience in various divisions of General Electric from around the world. Prior to joining GE Money Romania, Thom served for two years as Quality & Operational Excellence Leader for Garanti Bank Istanbul as part of GE’s partnership with Garanti Bank.

Keehan graduated the School of Engineering at the University of Virginia in United States. He joined GE in 1993 in a program called Edison Engineering Program which he graduated in 1995 and began studying Six Sygma for which he is certified as Master Black Belt.

Radu Burghelea, the new Chief Information Officer has a ten-year experience in the tech industry, in five of them with applicability in financing.
