HTC Corporation, one of the world’s largest smartphone-makers, has recently optimized its activity in Southeast Europe, Middle East and North Africa (SEEMENA). The new hub will oversee HTC’s operations in 33 countries and will be based in Athens.
“Greece is the business hub of the entire SEEMENA region, not only because is at the center of the region, geographically, but also due to the high degree of expertise gained by the local HTC team”, said Nikitas Glykas, HTC’s regional director SEEMENA.
As for HTC’s strategy for the near future, Glykas said the business strategy currently in place will not change, and objectives will remain the same: ongoing growth of HTC brand awareness, increasing customer base and constant support to its local partners.
For Romania, the phone-maker plans to capture 15% share of the local smartphone market until 2011.
HTC has launched four new mobile phone models in Romania, namely HTC Tattoo, HTC Touch2 (foto), HTC HD2 and HTC Hero.
