NBR posted an exchange rate of 4.2178 lei per euro yesterday.

The euro hiked from 4.2280 to 4.2340 lei at rising bell and then started to slip gradually, to 4.2250 at mid-session. At 1:30 p.m. banks were buying a euro with 4.2205 lei and selling it for 4.2295 lei.

In the region, the Polish zloty eased from 4.1160 to 4.1280 per euro and then inched to 4.1250, while Hungary's forint increased from 269.35 to 268.30 over the European currency, only to fell back at 269.

For the U.S. dollar, NBR’s benchmark exchange rate added 0.56 percent to 2.9620 lei per dollar, from 2.9454 in the previous session.
